Church Library

  An educational opportunity for all ages is our Church Library.  The library includes fiction, non-fiction, video tapes, audiocassettes, CD's, DVD's, magazines, devotionals, and Bible Study reference books.  To check out a book or video, come by our church Library and simply fill out the card attached.  You have 3 weeks to return your choices.   For more information, you can send us an e-mail or call us at 276-3534.

A reminder to parents, we do have the periodical "Movieguide," which comes out bi-monthly and is a family guide to movies.   This can be a great help in choosing movies which are appropriate for the whole family.

New Bible study resources in the library

Two new sets of Bible commentaries on the New Testament are now available for check-out in the Aveleigh library:

Tom Wright’s … for Everyone series consists of fourteen books, covering the Gospels and all the works of Paul.  These commentaries are very popular and are suitable for group study, personal study, or daily devotions.  Wright is a bishop in the Anglical church and a noted scholar, who writes for the layman as well as the scholar.

The Interpretation Series (“a Bible commentary for teaching and preaching”) is considered a classic and a staple for Presbyterian church libraries.  The seventeen volumes, each written by a different scholar, cover all the New Testament books.

Both of these series are published by John Knox Press.
