"Mitch" as he prefers to be called, joined the Aveleigh staff in the summer of 2006.  He is an excellent pastor and administrator.  He has experience in multiple staff, multiple worship services both tradtional and contemporary, organizing outreach and congregational growth and redevelopment programs.  He was a liaison and training mentor to the Central Ohio area for the Purpose-Driven Church.

He was born in Maryville, Tennessee and attended college there.   Before entering the ministry, his career was in industrial personnel management, and as a teen he trained as a chef.

He and his wife, Beckie, live in Newberry, along with two dachshunds, Beth and Ruby.  Beckie's hobbies are music and pottery.  Mitch is a serious Trekkie!

Barbara has served Aveleigh members and friends for fifteen years.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary English Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and pursued a Doctor’s degree in Administration and Education.   She taught high school English for twenty-two years.  She felt a clear calling to her church position and has enjoyed working with people on a variety of projects.  She deeply appreciates the servant-spirit of the many volunteers, who make the work of the church happen.   In addition to her office duties, she participates in the music ministry, currently teaches Sunday School, and periodically leads a Bible study book review.  Her hobbies are music and crafts of all kinds.

Cindy joined our Aveleigh staff in the summer of 1996.  She graduated from Newberry College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.   She is currently enrolled as an Extended Campus Student at Union-PSCE in Richmond, Virginia, a little over half-way complete to earning her Masters in Christian Education.  Cindy’s responsibilities at Aveleigh include a wide variety of ministries from Children (5^th grade and under) to Adults (Bible Study, Sunday School, Family Night Suppers and programs, etc.)  In her spare time, Cindy enjoys singing, acting, dancing, volunteering as a Young Life Leader and spending time with family and friends.
