Pastor
The Reverend Jason Edwards has served as a senior or solo pastor in churches in Georgia and Mississippi since 2014. A former contractor, he graduated from Brewton Parker College and worked for several years for Moultrie Technical College as a Building Trades Instructor and Division Chair of Trade and Industry in his hometown of Moultrie, Georgia.
Jason responded to a compelling call to parish ministry and graduated from Columbia Theological Seminary in 2014 with a Master of Divinity degree. He has regularly served on local non-profit or education-related boards, has served on the diaconate and pastor nominating committee at his home church, led youth groups, and has been involved in local civic organizations.
Married to Anne Peters Edwards for 23 years, Jason cherishes family time with his wife and four sons: Jase (20), John Corey (18), Jack Cooper (14), and James (10). When not serving as a pastor with the church family or in the community, Jason just might be found enjoying time with his family, fishing, working on a house project or woodworking project at home, or enjoying dinner with friends.
Director of Music
Pierre began ministry through music at the age of seventeen in Brooklyn, NY. His passion is to reach anyone by any means through music and its multitude of genres. Pierre finds encouragement in scripture and support from his wife Rose, along with their three children, PJ, Cadence, and Camille-Rose. Relocating from West Palm Beach, FL, they are truly blessed and grateful to be a part of the Aveleigh team and family. Pierre enjoys playing basketball, tennis and sharing his musical gifts via zoom lessons.
Administrative and Financial Assistant
Barbara Dock has served Aveleigh as the Administrative and Financial Assistant since June 2017. She attended Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois and has a fluent background in customer service. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoys volunteering in Aveleigh’s nursery as well. Though she considers her work to be “behind the scenes,” the other staff of Aveleigh know they could not do their own ministries without her.
